What IndieIP provides
IndieIP provides technical information intended to help people compare broadband connections for self-hosting, homelabs, VPNs, websites and other externally reachable services.
Information can change
Broadband availability, addressing policy, CGNAT, IPv6 support, port restrictions, upload performance, prices and product terms can change. IndieIP bases results on the latest available data and may sometimes use ZIP- or area-level information rather than an exact premises record. No result should be treated as a guarantee of service at a particular address.
Check before buying
Before entering a contract or relying on a technical feature, confirm any requirement that matters to you directly with the provider, particularly public or static IP availability, CGNAT policy, IPv6, port forwarding and contractual restrictions on servers.
Technical responsibility
Running Internet-facing services creates security and operational responsibilities. IndieIP explains connection characteristics; it does not guarantee that a particular self-hosted service will be secure, reliable or suitable for your circumstances.
Commercial relationships
Some provider links may eventually be affiliate links. Any commercial relationship will not determine IndieIP's technical rating of a connection.
